Little Readers that have been sent home are 

Readers 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, 7,8, 9, 10, 11, and 13. 

 When child has read books or list 3 times initial 

sheet in notebook and they can get small prize. 

 I usually check notebooks about once a week to 

give prizes.

Letters studied – all letters, both long and short

 vowels.  Combination qu, diagraphs ck, sh, th, oo 

and vowel-consonant-silent e.

Sight words we have had are the, of, to, four, from, into, one, have, said, you, do, love, was, and what, my, do, and two.

Phonic Rule of Week –   vowel-consonant-silent e rule.  Key word is lake

We will be learning to code words with silent e at end.  We will learn about freshwater lakes, fire prevention and safety precautions (fire, chemicals and emergency).   In math we will continue to work on addition, subtraction, time and writing numbers to 100.

I heard Field Trip was good.  I hate that I missed it.  We always have so much fun.  I hope to get to school for a little while this week.  They should be doing final DIBELS test this week. Also part for graduation should be sent home soon.  Each child should have a line to say, plus each will say their name and what they want to be when they grow up.   Please contact Mrs. Crouch or me if you have any questions or concerns.
