Hello! I have been teaching for 25 years. Twenty two of those years I have taught Kindergarten at Empire. During my career I have also taught second grade, 7th grade History, 8th grade Civics, 2nd grade and 5th grade English. I quit teaching school for 10 years to be home full time with my children, Kary and Barry. After they were in school, I started teaching at Empire. Kary is now married and has three children. Barry is married and has two children. He is the youth minister at Northwest Church of Christ in Lawton. I like going to school activities and watching all my kids (grandkids and my school kids). My first Kindergarten class graduated from high school in May 1996. Teachers really feel good when they see and hear good things about former students.
Besides teaching school, I also teach the baby class at church. I spend most of my extra time with my grandchildren. When I can't do that I like doing crafts, working on computers or doing things with my husband Kenneth. He likes to play golf and has had the reputation of being able to play longer in one day than anyone else. That recently changed to playing all the time after retiring from the Cola Cola Company after 38 years.
